At the end of Act I, Iago reveals in a soliloquy that he is aware of Othello’s trusting nature, “the moor is of a redundant and open nature, that thinks men dependable that but seems to be so” and that he will utilisation t his weakness to his own advantage, this is n! ot just the fact that Othello is trusting that causes his downfall, but Iago’s manipulation of the weakness.
